After more than a decade of unforgettable moments on the court,
it is with a heavy heart that we announce that Freestyle 2 services
on Steam and JOYCITY Games are scheduled to close on January 27, 2027.
Since its global launch in April 2015, Freestyle 2 has brought together countless
Ballers from around the world.
Throughout the years, we have shared countless matches,
exciting tournaments, mini-tournaments, and unforgettable experiences
that have shaped Freestyle 2 into what it is today.
Freestyle 2 has always been more than just a game.
It represents the precious moments we have shared through friendships,
fierce competition, and our mutual passion for basketball.
We understand how heartbreaking this news may be for many of our players,
especially those who have been with us since the very beginning.
This decision was not made lightly, and we are deeply grateful for the time,
passion, and unwavering support you have dedicated to Freestyle 2
over the years.
Until the final buzzer sounds, we hope you will continue enjoying
the game with your fellow Ballers and create even more unforgettable
memories together.
As part of our preparations for the service closure, please take note of the
following changes.
Service Closure Schedule and Affected Services
- Affected Services: Freestyle 2 Steam & Freestyle 2 JOYCITY Games Service
1. Paid Content and In-Game Purchases
- Following the maintenance on November 4 (Wednesday), all paid content and
in-game purchase items will be removed from future updates.
2. G-Kash Top-Up Discontinuation
- Following the maintenance on November 4 (Wednesday),
G-Kash top-up services will no longer be available.
3. In-Game Shop Point Conversion
- Following the maintenance on November 11 (Wednesday),
items that are currently available for purchase with Cash will
become available for purchase using Points.
- Applicable Items: In-game Shop items, Crystal Shop items, and
purchase events within the New & Returning Player System, etc.
