As previously announced, Since December of 2017, Freestyle2 has been the
target of Distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack; resulting to have
unstable/inaccessible game server. Since then, our Devs are doing their best
to defend our servers.

 

For a lot of us without a deep knowledge about network security, it is easy to
think that DDoS attacks as a single “thing” that our Devs can simply solve. 
But the term DDoS applies to a large category of malicious attacks on network
or internet infrastructure, though some defenses may be simple, others
are not so easily built. This is the reason why we are asking for the
understanding of everyone.

 

We are aware that some ballers are complaining about the server instability,
we would like to extend our sincerest apology about it. As what we always say,
we what you give everyone the best freestyle basketball experience but 
unfortunately, the constant attacks is one of the hindrance for us to achieve

this goal. 

 

Rest assured that our Devs will continue to do their best to make the servers
stable as possible and we will be sending compensation for the inconvenience
it has caused. The compensation is not decided yet, but we will make an 

official announcement about it soon.

 

Once again, we deeply apologize for the inconvenience and we are asking for
your patience and understanding regarding the technical issue that we are
currently experiencing.
